Ohio’s State Flowers

Following in the footsteps of other states whose official flowers are imports or domestics, Ohio adopted the white trillium (Trillium grandiflorum) as its official wildflower in 1986-87. I haven’t yet learned any details about its adoption.

The trillium is also the official provincial flower of Ontario.
